How to replace Upper Wash Arm. The spray arm itself was fine. The problem was with the plastic parts that held it in place. I had to order an entire replacement spray arm assembly to get the small plastic pin and collar I needed. It took a flashlight and some poking around, but I discovered that the arm is held in place by a small plastic pin that drops into place from above. Here's the fix: Gently bend down the flat plastic tube that carries water to the arm so you can reach the pin and pull it up and out, then drop the new pin into place. Insert the plastic collar from below the spray arm and push it up into place while holding your finger on the peg from above until it snaps into place. I suspect that the spray arms rarely wear out, but the two plastic parts that hold the arm in place certainly do. 45 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
