When I removed the cabinet, all of the springs appeared in tact, I had already replaced the counter balance spring so I knew that was not the issue. None of the suspension springs or brackets were broken but they did look worn/rusty so I replaced all of the brackets (2 in front and 1 large in back), all of the suspension spring retainers, and all of the suspension springs and it fixed the issue! I plan to also replace the Self leveling leg spring which is an easy fix since it's on the back of the washer and doesn't require the cabinet to be removed. Since I am not very strong it was extremely difficult for me to remove the suspension springs from the brackets so I used the recommendation from the video tutorial and removed the brackets with the springs attached, while holding the bracket with my hand to avoid it snapping out since it's under tension.
I highly suggest wearing gloves because you do not want to get your hand pinched in these springs. Removing and replacing the bracket on the back is challenging just because of its location, and be sure to note that the back suspension bracket is larger than the two on the front - they are different parts which I didn't realize when I ordered. Overall, the fix was simple and I could not have done it without the video tutorials! My washing machine works better than it ever has. I also recently replaced the Direct drive washer motor coupling and the Agitator dogs - doing all of these things reduced the knocking noises and any imbalance in the tub. Awesome!
