The tub was leaning forward. There was water under the unit as well.I unscrewed the 2 screws on top of control panel and popped it open with a 2 inch stiff putty knife. I then removed the 2 clips holding the body on and removed it to expose the inside of the unit. The counter weight spring was detached upon inspection, the hole on the metal frame was rusted out.I didn't see it at first I had to use my fingers to feel the break.
I then checked the 3 springs on the tub and found 2 were grinding through the metal clips. I drilled a hole next to the rusted hole for the counter weight spring and then reattached it. It must be perpendicular to the tub.
The rear bracket has the counter weight spring on 1 side and the tub spring on the other.
I replaced the 3 springs and retaining clips. If you are going to do the springs do the clips as well they seemed to get deformed as well. Inspect all the brackets and replace if neccessary. 2 brackets in front are the same the rear is different. Put it back together and no more shake rattle and roll.
