This was extremely easy. The old washplate had the grooves stripped. The new one was snug and took some time to line up and slide into place by tightening the screw. The washer prevented the screw from catching the threads so I skipped that. The washer wasn't on the original, which probably contributed to the washplate getting stripped. But it lasted 6 years. Hopefully I can get a few years out of this washplate. Took about 20 minutes from start to finish.
