Almost ordered solenoid valve but realize ice maker was working ok and water dispenser worked good for the first 1-2 seconds. Read online forums and found some posting about replacement of filter head w/ reservoir tha ressembled the problem I was having. Ordered filter head and got part within 2 day (even with ground shipping request). Took about an hour to carefully figure out how to remove covers and install part. An easy way to determine if solenoid is ok is removing filter and installing filter bypass cap (included with new filter head). You may want to do that before removing any covers in case your problem is something else. Repair was a success.
