I watch Appliance Part Pros video how to change out water dispenser video on my LG refrigerator model LFX25975ST. This gave me a good idea what I needed to order as a part replacement before pulling out the refrigerator and disconnecting everything. I order the water valve assembly part and installed it less than 30 minutes. I actually spent more time cleaning behind the refrigerator than it took to change the part. One good tip: to make sure the water is off is to relieve the water pressure at the refrigerator or another faucet before you change the water valve. I have a separate water shut off valve for the refrigerator, however it was old and did not shut the water off completely. I had to shut the main water valve off to the house because the refrigerator water line shut off valve was old/bad. Recommend bring a small bucket to catch the water setting in the lines. Mine had at least a gallon that drained out which more than a towel could absorb.
I ordered the extra water line little black connector, however this was not needed in my case. The new one came with one.
