The storage device for water had a cracked fitting so when either the water or ice solenoid was activated the water ran into the compartment. I replaced the storage device (reservoir) once I figured out how to remove the upper cover in the top of the refrigerator. I needed to remove two screws located by the water filter these are the only fasterners needed to be removed, after that you need to pry down on the entire cover which is snapped in place, disconned the electrical connections and your on the road to recovery.
It should be noted a appliance repair person came to the house as the refrigerator was under warranty, he could not figure how to remove the upper cover. He said he would return, never did and never returned any phone calls. The old saying is true in this case, if you want the job done right you just may have to do it yourself.....
