I replaced the ECS. It was an easy replacement and took less than 15 minutes. It was located immediately above the drain pan. I pulled out the washer, killed the power, tipped it on its left side (put some towels down to catch any water), and removed the 2 philips screws that hold the cover in place over the drain pan. The drain pan has its own sensors in it and there's no need to remove them. Just leave it and set it aside. Bam, the sensor is right there, adjacent to the motor. Remove with a quarter turn, and unplug it from the wiring harness. Put the new one in reusing the o ring from the old one. Done. Of note, when I pulled my washer out of the cabinet I took up all the slack in the drain hose which caused a kink at the disposal drain. Check it as you're putting it back, or you might inadvertently stop it from draining.
