Ordered a replacement Switch Membrane for the Whirlpool Acubake Oven from AppliancePartPros.com. It was simple and takes about 10-20 minutes. First unplug the oven (remove the bottom drawer to access the plug). Then remove the front panel by removing a screw from each end (left and right sides), then open the oven door and remove 4 screws on the bottom side of the panel. The switch membrane is stuck to the control panel with 3M tape, so just peel it off to reveal two ribbon cables that feed through a slot on the front panel and connect to a circuit board on the back side of the panel. Press the release lever on the ribbon connectors and wiggle them away from the circuit board. Clean the front of the panel with rubbing alcohol to remove all grease and residual adhesive from the old membrane. Then reverse the process using your new switch membrane to reassemble. The hardest part of the job is getting the new membrane aligned when you stick it down (and that was not that difficult).
