Last year I replaced the glass lid on my Whirlpool Cabrio washer and it broke again......rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I saw a YouTube video that recommends replacing the glass lid with this solid metal one. I bought the lid, hinges & screws and installed it. It works like a charm. I estimate that the actual work took about 15 minutes but I dropped the washer (existing) and spent a half hour looking for it. Its also a much cheaper fix than replacing it with another glass one.
