First the timed drying cycle would not cut off. Then the other cycles also would not stop until I opened the door. So I figured it must be the timer. This is the first time I have ever tried to repair a washer or dryer myself, but the video on this website looked very simple. My son and I first tried to remove the old timer to see how it might work before I ordered the replacement. It looked achievable so I ordered the part, received it the next day, and replaced it easily. It works! So I saved a service call charge and feel like my dryer will last a while longer (it's probably at least 15 years old.)
