Used the advice found on appliancepartspro.com and ordered a new Spark Module. They said that this is a known issue with my particular model. I am happy to say that everything went as smooth as silk and had watched the instructional video a couple of times while my part was on the way. The new Spark Module is a genuine OEM Whirlpool part that was a direct fit with no modifications needed. If I was younger and not as cautious about every move I make, this job would only be a 15-30 minute project. It took me 30-60 as I double checked every connection and worked carefully not not to mess anything up. Worked like a charm, the wife is happy again, which makes my life a lot more enjoyable!
