I replaced the drive hub and wash plate. I probably did not need to replace the wash plate but did not realize that until after the fact and since I had it, I might as well replace it anyway. (I damaged it slightly during removing as it would not come off of the drive shaft without a lot of effort and a pair of channel locks.). My main issue was the drive hub. The plastic gears inside the unit were totally destroyed. Putting plastic gears against a metal drive shaft that spins at high speed seems like a design problem, but once I replaced that and put it back together it works like new now.
