Replace inverter/motor assembly; time was about 30 minutes:
5 minutes to remove front cover and drive belt, and connectors
5 minutes to unbolt motor/inverter assembly and insert new one
20 minutes to try to get the belt back on (hint: SLOWLY try to make progress, otherwise it falls off and you start again). Caution: very sharp metal edges (you'll get cut without knowing it until you remove your hand...
