Description

This genuine replacement part is a fan motor assembly for refrigerators. The fan motor assembly circulates air through the fresh food compartment and allows for efficient cooling of that compartment keeping produce fresh. If cool air is no longer circulating through the fresh food compartment and produce is beginning to go bad, then it might be time to replace the fan motor assembly. Luckily this is a relatively easy repair.To begin, start off by shutting down all power to the appliance. Once the power has been cut, proceed to move the refrigerator away from the wall. Access the lower back panel of the refrigerator and remove it to gain access to the fan motor assembly. Remove the mounting screws that hold the assembly in place and remove the wire harness attached to the fan motor assembly. Insert the wires into the new unit, and secure the new fan assembly back to its original place.This OEM replacement part is compatible with General Electric, RCA, and Hotpoint appliances.
