Dan T Los Gatos , CA March 12, 2014 Appliance: Model ZICP360NXLH Bottom Freezer of a Monogram GE Refrigerator was leaking. The original Seal or Gasket was torn and warm air was coming in and condensing causing local icing Ordered this Freezer Door Bottom From Appliance Parts Pros and they sent a GE Original gasket from their Fresno warehouse. To remove the old gasket just peel it away, it's only held in by a single channel, then clean the area. Prior to installing the new gasket, warm it up in the dryer and decompress the gasket (on a flat surface) and hold it in a decompressed state until it cools. This will help the gasket comply with the surface once installed. To install the new gasket just press it into the channel, no tools required and the door can be in place. To make it easier, you will want to turn off the freezer by setting the temp for the freezer high (this will also turn off the refrigerator) but before doing this move the food into a portable cooler. Once installed turn down the temp for the freezer (0-3 Degrees F) and fridge (34-36 Degrees F) and put a super thin layer of vaseline on the face of the gasket to ensure a good seal. Anne K Portola Valley , CA August 19, 2020 Appliance: Model Z1C36NABRH Freezer drawer gasket was torn and compressed I replaced the freezer drawer gasket. It was very easy and the AppliancePartsPros video was very helpful. Removing and replacing the gasket took less than 15 minutes. The whole job took about an hour. 1) Figuring out how to take the freezer drawer out (in my case, it was 8 big bolts into the front drawer piece) and 2) the groove and sealing faces had gotten moldy from the poor seal so I spent time cleaning with a bleach solution after I took the old gasket out. Daniel B Carlsbad , CA October 27, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator ZIC36NAARH Torn freezer gasket Pulled out the old gasket and pressed in the new one. Gasket comes folded, and instructions suggest dipping in on hot water to smooth out the kinks. I used a hair dryer instead, Kinks smooth out without getting wet. Varel F Hopkinton , NH July 24, 2018 Refrigerator quit working GE service came to repair; tech said he needed to order a motherboard and would return. After a few days of silence, I called GE and was told the part was on backorder and was expected in 5-6 months! Somehow GE didn't think they needed to tell me that in spite of having no refrigerator. I initially ordered one from GE parts which did not indicate any back order status. I called the next day, and behold it was the same delay story. Again, no notice that the part was not immediately available. I then turned to AppliancePartsPros.com and had the part in 2 days (4th July delayed delivery). Replacement of the part was fussy but not difficult, and now I have a functioning fridge rather than a $5000 boat anchor. I discovered the door gasket on the freezer was funky so turned to AppliancePartsPros.com for a replacement. It was on back order but the website clearly indicated the status and likely delay. I am thrilled with your service and prices. I cannot imagine going elsewhere whenever I need a part. Bravo!!
