I removed the plastic plate at the top of the microwave (behind the door) by unscrewing two screws with a screwdriver. I then pulled out the old filter, and placed the new one in the designated area. No tools are needed to insert the filter....just a screwdriver to remove/replace the plastic plate. Very simple. Read more

Well, after I accessed the place where the charcoal filter would be, I found out that there was NO CHARCOAL FILTER AT ALL! No wonder the circulating fan did not take cooking odors out of the room!
