Description

This freezer door gasket forms an airtight seal between the door and cabinet to keep cold air in and moisture out. Replacing a worn or damaged seal helps restore proper temperature, reduce frost, and improve energy efficiency.

• Unplug the refrigerator before servicing
• Warm the new gasket in hot tap water or with a hair dryer on low to make it pliable; seat the corners first
• Depending on the model, either press the gasket into the retainer channel or loosen and retighten inner-liner screws to secure—do not overtighten
• After installation, check the seal all around (dollar-bill test); gently warm and reshape any areas with gaps
