William M Manchester , NC June 28, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator P Series GTS18KCPXRWW The GE refrigerator ice maker quit working I checked the water supply to the solenoid valve and it was okay, but no water was getting passed the valve. I checked the 115 vac signal from the ice maker to the valve and it was present. Unfortunately I did not know to depress the white fitting on the outlet of the valve to release the line to the ice maker so I cut it, and had to purchase a replacement. A new valve arrived from Appliance Part Pros and was installed as well as a new line and clamp. By this time some moisture had frozen in the port to the ice maker and I had to use my wife's hair dryer to melt it and I blew thru the supply line to it to clear the port. Finally, the ice maker began to make ice cubes and has continued to do so for about a 30 hour period. Read More...
