Thermostat (Microwave)

This thermostat is a temperature-sensitive safety switch used in LG microwaves. It monitors internal temperature and opens the circuit when overheating is detected to help protect components from heat damage.

  • Monitors temperature at its mounting location inside the microwave
  • Opens on overtemperature to interrupt power for safety
  • Depending on model/location, a failed or open thermostat can cause no heat, the unit shutting off mid-cycle, or no power until it cools
