Henry W Hoffman Estates , IL September 08, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LRSC26911TT Lg water filter head would not engage I have replaced the LG water filter myself for the past 10 years. This time I inserted the filter, did not feel the thread was engaged, I turned the filter clockwise and no water came through the filter. So I figured that the filter head might be bad. I checked with YouTube and learned that to replace the filter head one just have to remove the housing or head, remove the water inline and outline and put it back. I used Google to search "LG water filter housing" (I did not know yet it was called filter head). It came up with appliancepartspros.com. I found the filter head was similar to mine. It costs $47 including shipping. So I decided to order it and gave it a try DIY. The part came in two days later. I turned off water line, removed the filter housing by taking out a holding screw, pulled out the filter head, removed the two plastic tubings. I used vinegar to clean the plastic tubings and coated them with Vaseline to make it easier to insert them. Then I inserted the tubing, one 1/4", one 3/8" to the new filter head, slid the head to a holding screw. Put the housing back. I inserted new water filter and turned it clockwise. I could feel that the head was engaged. I turned on water and there was no water leak at where tubings were inserted. So I know that I have completed the job. The old water head came in with manufacturer might be somewhat defective, because it used to be difficult for me to rotate the filter to remove it and rotate it after the replacement was inserted. With the new one, I can insert the new filter and rotate it clockwise easily. Leroy B Colorado Springs , CO January 19, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LMX25981ST Two issues water in the bottom of fridge and clicking noise The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. I removed the overload relay and capacitor from the TSD used two pieces of wire and connectors to create the circuit using the PTC. As soon as I plugged it in the compressor started working and cooling the fridge. problem solved. Thanks APP for the parts I should be good to go another 7 years. Ted H Watkinsville , GA December 13, 2014 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFX25960SB Drawer rails cracked The cold cut drawer on my LG fridge was no longer staying suspended under the shelf because the plastic rails to hold it up had cracked. I called in to these guys and the fellow who helped me out was great. Very helpful. The part number was stamped on my old rail but it wasn't showing up, so the agent went into the exploded view drawing and found them that way. He explained their return policy and that I need not worry though because he was sure he had the right part. They arrived quickly and he was right! I'm all set. Also ordered a water filter cartridge, which was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend/return.
