Buzz K Suwanee , GA June 12, 2014 The water valve assembly developed a slow leak causing ice to form on the inlet tube Replacing the valve took about 10 minutes including pulling the refridgerator and cleaning the dust bunnies. The problem that persisted was the ice that formed around and in the inlet tube was extensive, and primarily behind the interior rear panel of the freezer. Removing the panel that had also embedded the wire harness for the ice maker, was a major challenge. The chunk of ice was about 4"x4"x2" and locked the panel & wire harness in place. Tim H Amherst , NY March 15, 2016 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LDC22720ST Ice maker not producing ice 1st we changed the water intake valve. That probably would have been the end of the repair however when we plugged it in it didn't automatically fill so therefore we thought the actual ice maker was broken. We then ordered the icemaker. Still nothing. So we unplugged everything and was about to call technician. This is the kicker. I just didn't want to pay a repair person to do what we were doing already. I then went to LG site to trouble shoot. So at the very end of the trouble shooting sheet it said (AND THIS IS KEY) that it can take up to 24 hours for the icemaker to make ice. Well there you have it. We waited and low and behold we have ice. We saved the icemaker for a backup since I really don't think that was the problem. The installation was easy and your web videos help for sure. Delivery was fast. I would definitely purchase from Appliance Parts Pros again.
