Description

This insulator gasket provides seal and heat management. You will find this component between the cylinder housing and the carburetor insulator. A gasket serves as a seal between two surfaces. Its primary purpose is to prevent any kind of leaks. If the seal is airtight, it also blocks small debris from entering and damaging the carburetor. A torn or worn-down gasket can lead to expensive carburetor and engine repairs. A failed insulator gasket may cause carburetor stalling and rough idling. To install this insulator gasket, remove the air filter and its cover. Then, grab a socket wrench and take out the two mounting bolts. You should also remove the throttle spring and governor bail from their original positions. Take out the vacuum hose as well. Then, place the new insulator gasket according to the right orientation.
