This is a replacement mounting nut that secures components to their mating studs or shafts, restoring proper fit and preventing looseness that can cause noise or misalignment. Use it to replace a worn, stripped, or missing nut. What it does:
- Fastens parts to studs or shafts to keep assemblies secure and aligned.
- Prevents wobbling, rattling, and reduced performance caused by a loose or missing nut.
- Restores reliable mechanical connection after thread damage or corrosion.
- Works where a standard hex-style fastening nut is required by the OEM design.
What's included:
- One replacement mounting nut.
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before beginning work.
- Verify correct stud engagement and thread direction before tightening.
- Use the proper-sized wrench and tighten to the manufacturer's recommended torque; avoid over-tightening to prevent thread damage.
- If threads are damaged, replace the mating stud or use an approved repair kit—do not force a nut onto stripped threads.

Leaking water onto the floor John G. • Canmer , KY • May 28, 2015
The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you.

Our ge dishwasher model gsd580p49ba was not fully cleaning dishes after washing. we kept finding grainy food particles and debris deposited all over the dishes Mary H. • Boonsboro , MD • February 07, 2020
We removed the spray arm from the Spray Arm Hub and Support Assembly (GE part WD22X126) and discovered that the Check Valve (GE part WD1X5488), which prevents dirty water from flowing back into the tub, was missing completely. Replacement was very easy - the soft rubber valve pushes into position from the inside of the Support Assembly. We also found that the Plastic Thrust Washer (GE part WD3X766) inside the center of the Spray Arm Hub had eroded considerably, so we replaced that as well.

There were pinholes in the old connector Steven D. • Muskego , WI • November 09, 2014
My husband removed the old connector and replaced it with a new one. My dishwasher is a GE and we bought it in 1992. Since then only a few parts needed to be replaced. I am not looking forward to looking for a new dishwasher since this one has lasted so long and still cleaning dishes.
