- Helps stop intermittent or continuous fill problems caused by a broken or displaced float.
- Keeps debris away from the float area to reduce false water-level readings.
What's included One float dome. Install notes
- Disconnect power and water supply before accessing the tub or removing panels.
- Remove the lower access panel or kickplate to reach the float area; handle plastic parts gently to avoid cracking.
- Inspect surrounding seals and the float itself; replace any damaged components for reliable operation.

Dishwasher was making loud noises from the bottom when running Alan R. • Rochester , NY • June 30, 2018
I replaced the pump and motor assembly. I also proactively replaced the fill hose while I had the dishwasher out since it was decades old.
GE now only sells a generic kit. There were about 7 different sets of directions for different groups of models, and myriad adapters and other parts to support all of them. I wish GE had provided a way of looking up which instructions to use based on model # as that would have saved me a lot of trouble sorting out the instructions, but I didn't find one....

Broken base spray arm tab that holds the bottom rotating spray arm in place Barry G. • Sinking Spring , PA • August 24, 2015
In the How to fix it your self section of Questions and Answers, your answers for removing the Base Spray Arm is incorrect. It states "just stick a screw driver into the base spray arm from inside the tub and turn", that does not work. Their are 2 tabs that in gauge the base spray arm with the tub. A 4 prong round wrench is required to insert from the bottom into the pump connector and turn the nut that sits inside.
