Leaking from heater coil Jason S. • Saint Paul , TX • December 02, 2014
When I identified a leak coming from the Heating Coil, I saw that the Heating Element Nut on both sides were corroded and could not hold the heating element tight any more. I ordered replacement parts and the fix was very easy. As I was running the test afterwards, I discovered that there was a leak coming from under the door. I realized then that the reason the heating element nut corroded was because of a leak in the door. I ordered a new door gasket and door seal (that goes at the bottom...

Leaked and didn't empty or wash well Morgan B. • Ojai , CA • October 23, 2017
The pump impeller had sheared its connection to the motor shaft and the seal had disintegrated. Subsequent running had eaten the plastic motor shaft to about 2/3rds of its original diameter. Motor (and shaft) are no longer available so I filled the gouged area with JB Weld and then filed it down to original size. Fortunately the shaft doesn't have to be super perfect because the upper portion of the seal spins with the shaft so it just needs to grip and be concentric.

Spray arm was burning on the sides Ruchik S. • Bronx , NY • October 17, 2014
The diffuser has something like a fan underneath that had gone separate from the body. The fan arms were chipped underneath. I thought that might have lead the spray arm to tilt and brush the heat coil, leading to melting on the sides.
So, I changed the Diffuser & Lower Spray Arm. I think now the spray arm is parallel and staying above the heat coil. Hopefully it stays that way!

The metal flanges on the heater element had worn away so that the rubber washer would not fit tight and leaked Kenneth H. • Morgantown , PA • February 03, 2015
Replaced the heater element, per the video. Also had to connect a new terminal to one of the heater element wires. Once the heater was again connected electrically, the washer completed the entire wash cycle without hesitation. (During the time that the heater element was non-functional, the control "dial" would stop near the bottom, about half way through the cycle, and had to be advanced "one click" manually).
The Heater Terminal Shield goes over the Heating Element Nut better if you...
