My wife put a pan of bars under the ice maker to cool. This melted the ice in the bottom of the ice tray together. Once it froze the auger motor stripped the drive gear trying to dispense the ice that was frozen together. It worked on crushed for a little while since the auger motor runs backwards to crush ice but it still failed after a while.
I bought this auger motor and swapped it out. The red wire on the motor didn't have the dual spade like the other motor so I had to cut it off and...
