Removed broken frame and the plastic bin compartment from the hardware and screwed the new frame to the hardware. The hardest part was removing the bin compartment from the old frame. repair done in about 15 minutes. Read more

My wife put a pan of bars under the ice maker to cool. This melted the ice in the bottom of the ice tray together. Once it froze the auger motor stripped the drive gear trying to dispense the ice that was frozen together. It worked on crushed for a little while since the auger motor runs backwards to crush ice but it still failed after a while. I bought this auger motor and swapped it out.
