Jeff February 07, 2016 for Model Number Thermador C301US single wall oven My C301US Thermador single wall oven door does not close tight. The hinge is a Nuova Star, but does not have a model number stamped on it. You do not list the C301US in the compatibility section of AP3196146, though visually it looks the same. Can you hopefully provide me the correct hinge to order. The hinge is wedged into the door in the rear with a single screw holding it in the front, so once the door was off, I had to release the hinge lock to remove it. When I install the new hinges, they will need to be unlocked to put into the door, then locked to replace the door into the oven. Once the door is assembled, what procedure would you use to lock the hinges? Once this is done, how would I know if the door gasket should also get replaced (it is not visibly damaged)? Thanks, Jeff
1 Answer Jeff, The part number for the door hinge is 00487746. When you get this installed your will want to use a towel and wrap the long part of the hinge and pull down on it so that you can get it locked. It will take some effort to get it. As for the door seal as long as it is not hard and still has play to it then it would be good. If it is hard then would recommend replacement. Read More...
