Susan June 24, 2016 for Model Number convection micro thermal double ovens Model CMT127/227 My upper oven has one glass piece that is covered by a brass cover that has many small holes. The brass cover is discolored and I cannot clean it. I would like to replace this. Is it available?
1 Answer Susan, Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the "screened Glass Assmbly" 00485809 / 485809. The manufacturer no longer sells the part and we can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us and we don’t know of any other source for the part. You may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it, or try eBay, Amazon or similar sites, search by using the manufacturers part number. You can also try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or a part you can use on your machine. Sorry, Thanks Read More...

Keith K December 04, 2015 for Model Number Thermador CMT-20 I am ordering the upper oven door (combo microwave/bake oven) interior glass (pn 000486969) and wonder if there is a schematic for the dis-assembly of the door. Will I need to obtain any additional parts (ie. gasket, etc) to properly re-shield the window? The microwave screen mesh does not appear to be damaged, but I know I will have to remove and re-seat the gasket, glass and microwave blocking screen for proper repair. Thank you

Aaron July 21, 2014 for Model Number cmt-21 How can I remove the upper door on thermador cmt-21? I am replacing the inner glass.
1 Answer Aaron, Open the oven door and inspect the hinge assembly. By the opening on the door, you will see a latch on the hinge. Push it down until it contacts the hinge bracket at the opening on the oven frame and goes through the bracket hole below the notch. Grasp the door with both hands and raise it slightly. The latch will automatically enter the notch. Slide the door off the hinge arms by pulling outward at a slight upward angle. Now the hinges are locked open by the latches. To close the hinges, hold hinge arm down and lift the latch, then carefully raise the hinge arm. Read More...
Jk March 29, 2012 for Model Number CMT-21 I need to know how to remove the lower oven door from my oven so I can replace the inner door glass? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello JK. Open the oven door and inspect the hinge assembly. The hinges will be forcefully snap closed with out the weight of the door. To reopen the hinges, you will need to forcefully open the hinge and lock the latch into place. Now you will need to remove the screws around the door frame and disassemble the door to replace the glass 00486969. Hope this helps. Read More...
