Anna K. for Model Number PH48ZS

I am trying to buy extra filters for my 48 " thermador hood, it is a floor model so a few parts missing. I have only sandwiched grill and one spacer ( part # 218931 or 367128, I don't know which one) . my question is : do filters go in sandwiched or separated, ( it is hard to pull them apart. If they are sandwiched and all the space is covered with them between the blower and the cooking surface, how will the air being sucked up? I don't how many spacers do I need and what is the dimensions of both spacers? sincerely, Anna K.
