The Cold Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Bosch washing machines. It is designed to regulate the flow of cold water into the washing machine during the wash cycle. This valve operates based on signals from the washing machine's control board, ensuring the right amount of cold water is provided.

Causes of a faulty cold water inlet valve can include wear and tear over time, clogs or blockages in the valve, electrical issues, or valve failure.

Symptoms of a bad cold water inlet valve may include:

  • Insufficient or no cold water flow into the washing machine
  • Leaking or dripping water from the valve during the wash cycle
  • Inconsistent or inadequate water supply for washing clothes
  • Error codes related to water supply or filling

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Note: For the Hot Water Valve, order part number 00422245.

Questions & Answers

For Bosch Water Inlet Valve (Part Number: OEM11275485)

Corinne, it would be recommended that the cold water valve 00422244 and hot water valve 00422245 are tested for 120VAC depending on what temperature selection is made. During the start of a cycle, the cold water valve should receive 120VAC if a warm or cold temperature is selected and the hot valve would receive 120VAC if hot or warm are selected. If there is 120VAC and the water supply going to the valve is verified, then the valve would need to be replaced. If there is not 120VAC, and the door locked properly, there may be a failure with the main control 00665847 or the wire going to the valve. It would be recommended that the wires are inspected for any broken or loose sections and connections.

Pete, If you have a rinse only setting, put the unit on that and start the cycle. Remove the top and check for voltage at the cold water valve. If no voltage is measured then replace the control. If you have voltage replace the valve.

Julius, the water flow will need to be inspected for a slow fill time with the cold water. If the cold water does not fill appropriately it can cause the unit to shut down as a safety measure. If the water flow is low, and taking longer to fill, then the water hoses will need to be inspected. If the hoses check good, then the wiring harness will need to be inspected for a loose connection. If there is not a loose connection, then the most likely issue would be with the water valve 00422244.

Hello Terry, This will be corrected by replacing the water valve 00422244. This is the cold water valve, (most common to fail). If the water filling is hot, the valve that has failed is 00422245.

Hello - thank you for your website! I ordered part number AP3758492 in the hopes that it will cure my problem. When I am not using my Bosche washing machine for a few days, I notice there is water accumulating in the drum. The longer it is unused, the more water there is. Is the defective water inlet valve the most likely cause of water leaking into the drum? And is this the correct replacement part? The washer is 9 years old. Never had water leak under the machine.

Katie, You are correct, this happens when the water valve doesn't seal correctly. You have two separate water valves for your hot and cold sides. I would suggest replacing as a pair. Hot side is 00422245 and cold side is 00422244.

Hello Cytna, You could have a stopped up dispenser 00640612 or a bad water valve 00422244. I'm sorry but this part 00640612 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

David, It would depend on if the water is coming in cold or hot. If it is hot water running in then you would need part number 00422245 and if it is cold water then this will be part number 00422244.
