Questions & Answers

For Danby Display Board (Part Number: OEM17345703)

Kyle, if the temperature selector will not respond to touch, the interface would be the cause of failure. If it does respond to touch, the display is showing the current temperature which would need to be verified with a separate thermometer. If the temperature readings match up, it is likely that the sealed system is unable to cool the unit any farther which would require an EPA-certified technician to diagnose and repair the failure.

Gary, if pressing the up or down arrows to activate the temperature change and then to change the temperature is causing the display to change to Celsius, the failure would be in the user control 1.01.02.03.029R. Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Del Brannen, Check the power supply to the board to ensure that there is not an overvoltage but sounds likely that you received a faulty control board.

Steve for Model Number DKC645BLS

I have Danby Keg cooler DKC645BLS. When plugged in the display and temp controls work but the compressor will not turn on unless I give it a hard tap on top of the unit right above the display. The compressor will run until the desired temp is reached then turn off but it will not turn on again unless I hit it again lol. I already made sure the power and ribbon connectors were plugged into the display board all the way and it is clean. Is this the display board or PC board that needs to be replaced? Thanks.

Robert, For this error, check wiring to make sure that there are no loose or damaged connections and if they are good then the sensor will be the most likely issue for this.
