The Door Boot Seal is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It is a flexible gasket that forms a seal between the washing machine door and the drum, preventing water from leaking during the wash cycle.

Causes of a bad door boot seal can include wear and tear over time, mold or mildew buildup, or physical damage from sharp objects or improper loading of the washer. Exposure to harsh cleaning chemicals can also degrade the seal, leading to leaks.

Symptoms of a bad door boot seal include:

  • Water leaking from the front of the washing machine
  • Visible tears or cracks in the seal
  • Mold or mildew buildup on the seal
  • A musty odor coming from the washing machine

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

For Frigidaire Door Boot Seal (Part Number: OEM11607318)

Jim, The door seal is the correct one for your unit and the spring will go on the same way as it came off. The only difference is they eliminated the tabs that the spring hooked into. It is not necessary to have them if the spring is installed correctly.

Vanessa, it could be as simple as the owner using too much or the wrong type of detergent, and you won't need any parts at all. It could also be that the washer may be overfilling, the water level in the tub(empty) should be 3 to 4 inches deep) 1/2 inch or more water could cause the door to leak slightly. In that case you would need to check the water pressure switch and air tube for possible debris in the hose. Then check the door boot/bellows for debris and possibly being out of alignment or partially off of the flange on the front panel from improper loading/unloading of the washer.
