Bruce M. June 29, 2011 for Model Number GLER331AS2 I bought my dryer for $30.00 and when I first used the dryer it seemed to get too hot and I took it apart to see if I could fix it. The terminal L1 is melted out so I rigged it and tried to use it then and still seemed to get way too hot,but before I rigged it I cleaned it on the inside and found that the squirl's cage or circular fan that hooks to the motor is cracked and comes off the shaft, could this be the cause of the dryer over heating and not drying the clothes good or in a timely manner?
1 Answer Hello Bruce! Yes, if the blower assembly is cracked and coming off the motor shaft it will cause the dryer to start overheating as it is not circulating the heat within the product as it should. You will need to replace the blower, it comes as an assembly, part number 131775600. Thanks! Read More...
Jared B. May 10, 2011 for Model Number FSE446RHS2 Got a lightly used set of Frigidaire washer and dryer. The dryer terminal had NO screws bolts or nuts to attach the power cord. What screws can I use to attach my power cord, the ones I have now arent tight and I am affraid of a fire. Please let me know if I can simply buy new screws or need to get a whole new block.

Jody F. April 25, 2011 for Model Number GLER341AS2 Looking at the Terminal, the left side (red wire) melted in mid dry causing the breaker to flip. Looks as if there was a small flash fire due to the black around the surrounding area. My question is this... will replacing the terminal block & plug fix the problem, or do I have a bigger problem internally? The last thing I want is to order part, get it installed, only to have the same blow out. Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Hello Jody. Usually when this happens, it's due to a loose connection. You should be ok with the new terminal block and cord. Make sure the connections are good and tight. Hope this helps. Read More...
