Jack M May 18, 2020 for Model Number FPHB2899PF5 Refrigerator not cooling, freezer evaporator warm but fridge ice maker evaporator is cold. Could this be caused by main board being bad?
1 Answer Hello Jack, the compressor sends the freon flow to the ice maker's evap coil first then to the freezer evap coil, from your description there is a shortage of freon in the sealed system, most likely there is tubing leak that would need to found and repaired. Read More...
Bobby January 22, 2020 for Model Number LGHB2867PF3 I got a main power control board from yall and was wanting to know the steps and where and how to replace this? PN is 242115283 thanks Bobby
1 Answer Bobby, the main control 242115283 is going to be located behind the kickplate on the left-hand side to middle of the unit. With the unit unplugged, the kickplate removed, there will be a 1/4" hex screw that would need to be removed to allow the control to be pulled forward. It is recommended that each wire connection is moved one at a time. Read More...
1 Answer Timothy, With the cooling fan not running and there being a new fan in the unit then this would be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Michael June 14, 2018 for Model Number LGHB2867PF0 My Frigidaire LGHB2867PF0 is cycling the temperature in the freezer and refrigerator. Temp will swing from normal to 20 degrees above normal and then back down. Definitely seems electronic, thoughts?
1 Answer Michael, This issue sounds like it would be caused by the unit staying in defrost which will most likely be caused by a faulty control board. Read More...
Gary M June 25, 2017 for Model Number lghb2867pf2 My daughter switched the ice maker from water to ice and the fridge just slowly died. I am thinking it may be the control board. I do see a darker spot on he board but not convinced it's a burn. I have checked breaker plug and plugged it in after sitting and get nothing, no lights no sound, etc. Completely dead. Was wondering if I order the control board (if you think that is the problem) and it does not work, am I still able to send it back for a full refund under your policy. I really think that is the problem as I do not see any fuses or anything really that would make the whole refrigerator completely die. But again, I am not an expert and could not find anything searching the internet. Thanks, Gary
1 Answer Gary, With the unit being completely dead then this would most likely be a control board failure but would suggest checking power to the wall outlet where it is connected. If the power is correct then the issue will be the control board. Read More...
