Dalton V September 13, 2015 for Model Number FGF368GCF I have a problem and I believe the control board is to blame. My display was working fine, then it suddenly quits working. No buttons work or anything else. The range works but the oven does not. When I plug the power cord back in, I can hear a single 'beep' and on the display it shows a very faint 'o' in the top left corner. When I open the door to the oven and close it the clock display reads '12:00' then goes back to that 'o' before. Any suggestions??
1 Answer Hello Dalton. It sounds like the control board 5304509983 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Mike September 06, 2015 for Model Number fgf366eqc Ok i tried to ask this yesterday but i dont see it here so forgive me if this a double post we had a storm and a transformer was damaged causing 240v to all outlets now display on stove doesnt work am i looking at a new conrtrol board? One thing i forgot to say is the stove top still works Thanks
1 Answer Nike, We did answer your question previously, and recommended you replace the oven control. The cooktop ignition and spark module work in a different method. The power to the module is applied through the ignition switches on the valve, if the switch is in the off position, the voltage can only go so far. That's why the cooktop is working. Read More...
Mike September 05, 2015 for Model Number fgf366eqc We had a storm and a tree fell on transformer causing 240 to go to all outlets now oven will not work and no display. Im guessing that i'll have to replace the control board sound right.
1 Answer Mike, Yes, we would agree with you, if you placed 240 VAC into a control rated for 120 VAC, there's going to be damage to the control. There are no thermal fuses or breakers in the electrical circuits to the range, so there's no safe guards. Read More...

Charles November 21, 2014 for Model Number FGFL67DCH and 911.9584690 We had a power surge and the displays went out on our ranges. The first one is a gas stove and the second an electric. Do I need to replace the control boards or are there fuses that can be replace? The stoves tops work fine.
1 Answer Hello Charles. You need to test for power to the boards. If there, and they do not work, you will need to replace the boards in the units. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Sally October 03, 2014 for Model Number LGGF3042KFJ The burners stopped clicking at the same time. It seems like an electrical failure, since all of the igniters would not go out at once. They can be lit manually. There are no errors on the clock control panel and all it's other functions work well, but someone in the parts department at Frigidaire said it could be the clock control.
1 Answer Sally, If it is the top burners that are not working then the issue would most likely be a faulty spark module or ignition switch failure. The ignition switches can be checked for continuity by putting into the light position and check across the leads. The spark module though would be the most likely cause for the issue. Read More...
Ted July 17, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire stove with power cord 5305510956 When I last used my stove the oven door quickly slammed shut and the power to the unit stopped. The TV blinked on and off. The TV came back on immediately but not the stove/ oven. I pulled it our form the wall and noticed a small wire that is not connected to anything. Do I need to replace this cord? This happened once before and we called out a service man and he said the cord had come loose and he got the stove to work. Ted
1 Answer Hello Ted. Yes, if the power cord wire has come loose, you may need to replace the cord and/or the terminal block on the unit. Read More...
Donna July 02, 2014 We used our oven 2 days ago and now it won't come on. Everything else works. After setting the temperature, I hear the "click" but nothing happens. I was told that there was a power surge and the board went out. Can this happen, where only the oven goes out and not the range top?
1 Answer Hello Donna, The wiring for the surface and the wiring for the oven compartment split at the terminal block, (where the power cord connects to the unit). So, in answer to your question, yes it can happen. You will need to check the elements, the high limit cutout (if applicable), and the relays on the control. Read More...
