Randy, The Red wire will go to the terminal on the white overload and the blue wire will go to the number 3 terminal on the relay. As for the way that they go on. You will put the overload on first and the pins will be in the shape of a triangle with the point of the triangle either being up or down. That point is where the overload will go and the relay will go over the other 2 pins.

Leonor, This issue could be that the unit may have gone into a defrost cycle and would take about 30 minutes to come out of the defrost and then continue to work.

Leonor, There is a plastic piece at the top that you will need to put a flat blade screw driver into and pry up on it and pull away from the compressor.

Donna, The Green wire is a ground circuit wire and will not attach to either the overload or relay. You'll create a direct short if you do. You'll attach the green wire to the terminal on the compressor housing near the relay overload area. The "double" Red wire will attach to the terminal of the overload, to allow power into the compressor "common" leg of the wiring. The white wire will attach to the relay the terminal on the right. This will allow power to flow through the motor run winding and out of the compressor back to the power return leg of the circuit.

Tommy C for Model Number FRS26ZSHB1

I have a fridgidaire FRS26ZSHB1. My relay went on it and I'm looking to replace it with the electrolux 5304410951 replacement. As far as wiring goes, I know the line goes to the white part (single pin) and the neutral goes to the terminal 2 on the black part. My question is I saw in other posts about wiring the capacitor to the 1 and 3 terminals? The kit came with no capacitor. Am I supposed make a jumper from the 1 terminal to the old capacitor and another one from the 3 terminal to the other side of the old capacitor? Thanks for your help.

Tommy, In regards to wiring the capacitor to the relay, you would be correct. You will need to just make a jumper wire from the 1 and 3 terminals to the capacitor terminals.
