Guest February 24, 2011 My frigidaire model frs266zdsb4 inside compartment light went out on the fridge side (freezer light is ok). Put new bulb in and still no light. Door switch works ok, it does not stick. Is there a capacitor or ballast that needs to be changed? Unit is approx 5 years old.
1 Answer You will first need to make sure that the bulb is tightened in the socket all the way. If it is, you could still be looking at a bad switch or light socket. The light switch may not stick, but it could still have became defective at some point. You can test it with an ohm meter. It should read open when the light switch is pressed in and closed when it is not. If it reads open when it is released, this will need to be replaced. Part number is 240505801.
