Scott March 04, 2018 for Model Number PLES389ECB Had a burner control knob break at the treads needed new part ordered correct part installed and now get an ERR F20 and a beeper on the stove any idea on why, all burners work but oven not working
1 Answer Scott, For this issue the F20 would be a an issue of overheating. You will want to check the resistance of the sensor which should be 1090 ohms of resistance. If this checks ok then it sounds like the issue will be a control board that is faulty. Read More...

Melinda May 05, 2013 for Model Number Ples399ecg My stove top burners heat up while I am using a different burner. They go to extreemly hot on their own. I purchased 2 new control assembly's. I am curious on how to install them. Do I just remove the few screws under the front assembly? Do you have any suggestions on how I can accomplish this.
1 Answer Melinda, To replace the infinite switch you will have to remove the screws that hold the control panel in place and take the knobs off and remove the screws holding the switch. Unplug switch wires and transfer to the new switch and install. Read More...
Eric E. March 24, 2012 for Model Number PLES389ECH I need part #AP3874713. Do you have installation instructions available?
1 Answer Hello Eric, First, turn off the breaker as there is voltage under the control panel. Pull the unit out far enough to get to the screws on either end of the control panel and remove them. This should enable you to raise the panel. Remove the knob and the large plastic nut under the knob. This should drop the element control from the glass. Unplug the element control and replace. Assembly of course is in the reverse order. I hope this was useful to you in completion of your repair! Read More...
John S. January 08, 2012 for Model Number GLES389FSC I broke the piece of part AP3874713 that attaches it to the stove. The plastic threaded piece of the part that anchors the control part to the stove broke off below where the nut anchors the part to the stove. I know I need to order the entire part, but I am confused as to why this switch on the far left of the stove used to control the dual burner element is different from the other 3 switches. You reference this part as 54b while the other three switches are 54A. Before I ordered the part, I just wanted to know why the part is different from the other 3 switches. All 4 stove elements are dual controlled. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello John! Due to the way the appliance is wired this particular control switch will be different than the other three switches. Hope this information helps you. Read More...
