Kathy September 24, 2021 for Model Number 79079523604 Technician replaced the big temperature control board and tested the oven temp probe and said the oven temp probe was fine. I then replaced the control temp part #318601500 and stove still beeps. Technician said there are 2 control temp parts, one on either side that look identical. Should both of those be replaced? Only 1 was and the tech they sent didn't know. Is part 318601500 the same for both? They look the same and do they help with the beeping? Change the left side too? For Kenmore Pro dual fuel range model# 79079523604. Really tired of the beeping. Thanks, Kathy
1 Answer Kathy, Thanks for the question!!! If the beeps are indicating a heating problem (I would locate your tech sheet and verify the reason for the beeps) and the oven temperature probe is good then the control board would be the issue. Your control board is part number 316460212 and there is only one board on this unit that reads the oven temperature probe. Just in case you need it the other selector switch is 318601700 but is no longer available. Read More...
John October 13, 2020 for Model Number 790 79523 Kenmore Pro Dual Fuel Gas Range My oven temperature setting automatically goes to 500 degrees as soon as I turn on the oven. It doesn't matter what oven setting I select or what temperature I set. I have already replaced the control board and the temperature probe with no changes. I see that there are both an oven CONTROL part and an oven SWITCH part. Would either of these two parts cause my problem?
