Greg October 27, 2014 for Model Number FAQE7011LW0 I have an intermittent issue: sometimes when we start a cycle, it fails to start and "PAU" is displayed. We unplug the unit, let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes and then it is usually ok for few cycles. This is a heavily used unit (3-4 cycles per day). I'm thinking a thermal protection of some kind, but not seeing one on the schematic, maybe main board?
1 Answer Hello Greg, Since the PAU indicates a power supply interruption to the units' motor, this could be a power supply issue at the breaker, wall outlet, terminal block, dryers' door switch, thermal limiter, or the motor itself. You will need to start by inspecting for discolored connections in the above listed areas and verify 240Vac at the terminal block. Read More...
