Ashley August 10, 2011 for Model Number FRS26F5AW6 Ordered this part for the above model number with manufacture date 03-03. The part appears to be correct, but the wiring does not match. There is only one offset connector with purple and gray wires, but the damper control motor appears to require two. There is also a connector with orange and light blue wires that does not fit anywhere.

Angie July 21, 2011 for Model Number glrs267zcq0 I just bought this part from you. How do I install this part in my refrigerator?
1 Answer Angie, the control kit comes with an instruction sheet, so it won't be that hard for you to accomplish. It's a matter of 4 screws holding the main control panel to the ceiling and the damper assembly to the wall. Disconnect the wires and reverse the process to install the new parts. If you take your time and label the wires, it'll be a breeze. Good Luck. Read More...

Lynford B. June 21, 2011 for Model Number 2531399103 Freezer or the refrigerator side are not cold. The compressor comes on, but not the evaporator motor. What could this be?
1 Answer Hello Lynford. Test and see if there is power at the evaporator motor. If so, and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the fan motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Alan June 13, 2011 for Model Number FRS26RLECS0 I have a Frigidaire FRS26RLECS0 and the fridge dampener is either closed or all the way open (i.e., too cold - like 0-15 degrees F). I replaced the fresh food temperature control, but it didn't make a difference. The dampener is either all the way open (if temp control knob is on at all) or all the way closed (if temp control knob is off). Should I replace this the whole control box kit AP5176342 at this point? Is that the right model for FRS26RLECS0? Can you think of other parts that might cause this problem?
1 Answer Hello Alan. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the damper 241600902 is bad and will need to be replaced. The control box kit will not work on the model number you provided. Hope this helps. Read More...
