Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Compressor Start Device (Part Number: OEM20922093)

Marshall, You will need to make sure that you check the evaporator coils to see what kind of frost pattern there is. A partial frost pattern would be an indication of a sealed system issue whether a leak or a restriction. A full even frost pattern would be a good frost pattern. A frost pattern where the coils are impacted by ice or frost would mean a issue with the defrost. If there is a defrost issue you will want to test the defrost thermostat and defrost heater for continuity. If there is no continuity then the part that does not have it would need to be replaced. If there is continuity on both then the defrost control would be faulty and need to be replaced. Also check to make sure that the evaporator fan is running.
