John January 22, 2020 for Model Number FWT449GFS1 The detergent door is stuck and will not open. It opens about a quarter inch then seems to catch somehow. Is there a way to release it without dismantling the top of the washer? The dryer is stacked on top and is a heavy lift.
1 Answer Hello John, I'm sorry but the dryer will have to come off and the dispenser assembly 131270310 accessed to determine if the complete assembly will need to be replaced or if there are linkages at fault. This could also be electronic if no signal is being sent to the dispenser door by the timer 131800500.
