Hello Ray, You should be able to suddenly yank on the handle and this normally allows it to slip off. This will allow you to access the screws. If the screws are tight, you may need to order a new handle if you cannot manipulate the clips to make them hold more tightly.

Hello! The refrigerator door handle 242059102 will slide up. You have to use a little force as there is a clip that snugs onto the screw to hold the handle in place. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Richard, You would have to almost jerk the handle up to get it to slide off. It has a clip that holds onto the screw that has to slip over the screw. Just use a little force to remove. It should slide upwards.

Hello Nancy, The way you take handles off to loosen them is to lift straight up on handle. Tighten the screws down and slide back down onto the screws.

Hello Leroy. On the side of the handle there are two set screws that you will tighten to repair the handle. On some models, the handle does not have these screws, and you will lift upward on the handle 242059102 to remove it and tighten the mounting screws. Hope this helps.
