Justin for Model Number FEFL77ABF

I had ordered a replacement door handle (in full disclosure I did not order it from this website) and according to most part suppliers and my online research should be 316270200 for the door handle with door handle screws 316433300. However when I received these items the door handle, although the right color, shape, size, etc. did not have a metal insert in the back of the handle with threads for screws, as the door handle for my oven does. Also, the screws that were ordered were longer and thicker than the screws that hold the door handle on my oven. Is there another door handle for this model oven that I'm not aware of? Or do I need to order a different part number? Any assistance I could get here would be very helpful. I have tried emailing several parts suppliers in addition to yourselves to try to address this issue. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hello Justin, the parts you ordered for your unit are a manufacturer replacement and correct for the model number. The replacement screws required to install the new handle are self tapping which is why they are thicker and no metal insert is needed on the handle. Thanks!

Hello! The door handle is part number 5304537685 and the screw is part number 5304414648. You will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door.
