Mike B February 27, 2017 for Model Number faqe7011kwo No heat in dryer run a few minutes shut off and 3 lights blinking error code e5b, replaced heater , heats up now but shuts off before clothes dry, there must be a part that I have to change thermal limiter or thermostat any ideas thanks , mike
1 Answer Mike, This error code is heater faulty (no heating) . The temperature reading of control thermistor has not changed in a certain amount of time. Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to HIGH HEAT and touch START. Measure voltage across terminals on relay RL2 (heater relay) on electronic control. If meter reads 240V on electric models and 120V on gas models, replace electronic control. If meter reads zero, remove power from dryer. Disconnect wire going to NO terminal on the relay RL2. Reconnect power and measure voltage drop between terminal COM on relay RL2 and neutral. If meter reads zero, wire between incoming line and relay RL2 is open. If meter reads 120V, check the rest of the heater circuit. Read More...
Todd January 20, 2015 for Model Number LAQE7011KW0 My dryer is blowing cool air only. How do I determine if I need a Heating element housing kit or a Thermostat? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Todd, Start by making sure there is 240Vac supplied to the machine. The only part of the unit that is 240Vac is the heating element, so if 120Vac is supplied to the correct side, it will run and not heat. If voltage is to the terminal block, you will need to use the tech sheet to determine the cause of your issue. The unit will give a fault code indicating the circuits that should be checked for an issue. Basically it will be one of the following components: Heater relay on the main control 137070840NH, the high limit thermostat 3204267, the thermal limiter 137032600, the heater 5304535760, or the centrifugal switch in the motor 5304529782. Singh September 09, 2014 for Model Number frigidair affinitty Dryer runs for approximately 3 min and then gives error code E64. What should I do?
1 Answer Hello Singh. Heating error. You will need to check the element in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. 1 Answer Hello Holly! Unfortunately, the element only comes available with the housing as a kit part number 5304535760. Sorry about that! Read More...
Bill Mc September 15, 2013 for Model Number FASE7073LWO I ordered a new heating element for this dryer but when I went to replace it the electrical setup is different. The old element has three leads going to three separate wire strands inside and then at the end of the runs they all collect into a single ground. The new one that you guy sent has only one lead and one ground. The entire element inside is one long strand, where the old had three separate strands. Is this the wrong element? If not, do I hook up all of the 3 of the leads from the washer to the one on the new element or do I only need to hook up one? Thanks The numebers on the new element are "novacoil / 5500-100-501 / 13711400B / E112303 / 19.6 A / 4.7 KW / 240 V" The old element says "5.5 KW 1347927"
1 Answer Bill, You have the incorrect part 5304535760 is a "single" strand, two terminal heater assembly, it is rated at the proper total wattage and voltage for a "basic" dryer. The Three element heater assembly for your dryer is 134792700. They are not interchangeable at this time, you will need to contact the APP Customer Service Team 1-(877)-477-7278 and arrange to order the correct part and return the incorrect component. Brandon September 18, 2012 for Model Number FAQE7011KW0 In addition to my first question it will only run for maybe 10 minutes and stop. The digital timer lit up doing some wierd lighting. Thats only after it stops though. Any idea what that would be?
1 Answer Hello Brandon. That is usually and error code and we will need the error code to determine what the issue with the unit is. Read More...
Brandon September 18, 2012 for Model Number FAQE7011KW0 My Dryer stopped blowing hot air. Just wanted to make sure this is the part I needed. Also will I be able to change it out myself or do I need to call a professional?
1 Answer Hello Brandon. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity.
