Bob L. December 31, 2011 for Model Number FDB510LCS1 water is leaking through one of the heater element nuts when the tub is filling and washing, but not during draining. is there an epoxy or other sealant to apply to the inside or outside of the tub where the element goes through, or does the nut and terminal need to be replaced. the clear plastic boot on the terminal has clouded and i am concerned about possibly burning out the element or shorting something? the dishwasher is barely broken in but has been not been used for a year or so during extensive home renovation
1 Answer Hello Bob. No, if the nut is leaking, you will need to order and replace the nut 154106202. Hope this helps. Read More...
Dave M. May 03, 2011 for Model Number GSB5755DB0 The heating element(part #AP4424048) on my Frigidaire dishwasher (model GSB5755DB0)has burned out and also melted the connection terminals to the point that I don't think it is wise to connect them to the replacement element. Are replacement terminals available that I could splice in? Is there a part#? FYI I believe the element burned out because water was leaking through where the element goes through the tub and shorted out the connection. During operation I smelled burning plastic, flipped off the breaker and then discovered the badly charred/melted terminals on the heating element. I put a digital ohm meter on the element and got no reading at all after following the directions I found on this website. Thanks in advance for any help.
1 Answer Hello Dave. Here is the part number for the terminals you will need to use TJMA02875-1. Hope this helps. Read More...
