Anthony August 09, 2012 for Model Number pld4555rfc0 It appears the heating element melted the tub where it passes through to the wiring connection underneath. It leaked water all over the place and down the wire connection. Can this be fixed? Just a note, 1/2 of the control board quit working about 9 months after I bought it. Frigidaire used to be a good product.
1 Answer Hello Anthony. Usually, the tub does not get melted, but the brass nut for the heater cracks and causes the leak. If it is leaking around where the heater goes through the tub assembly, check and see if that nut 154106202 is cracked. If so, replace the nut and it should fix the leak. Read More...
Nancy July 23, 2012 for Model Number FDB421RFR3 A small leaked caused the heater element nut to corrode which also caused the white electrical connector attached it to begin to burn. I assume I will need to purchase the nut and also replace the white electrical connector to that nut. Do you carry the electrical component?

John February 07, 2012 I just ordered part number 154106202. It's the brass nut that secures the heating element on a frigidaire dish washer. I know the wire needs to be removed to replace the nut. How does the wire connector come off? Is there a clip on it or does it just pull off? I don't want to break it. I also don't want to take the dishwasher out of the cabinet to get a good look at this connector.
1 Answer Hello John. The connector for the wire pulls off the heater element so you can replace the nut 154106202. Hope this helps. Read More...
